Rubik’s® Cube inspired a global craze. The aim of the addictive puzzle is to twist and turn its 54 coloured squares so that each face is uniformly coloured. With 43 quintillion ways to scramble the coloured squares, it has provided hours of entertainment for the whole family. Those who take it most seriously study techniques and strategies to find the solution as quickly as possible. The current ‘speedcubing’ record for solving a 3 x 3 cube is an almost unbelievable 3.13 seconds.
