The Chinese calendar rotates through the elements of earth, fire, water, metal and wood as part of a larger 60-year cycle.
Earth is the element for this Year of the Pig with people born in this year said to be particularly loyal, honest and gentle.
This 1/4oz gold coin celebrates the beautiful and joyous nature of this most auspicious and affluent Lunar animal.
