The Olympic Kilo Masterpiece is the largest Olympic coin ever minted at the time. Designed by Australian born master coin designer, Stuart Devlin, who in 1982 was appointed goldsmith and jeweller to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11.

The reverse features the official Sydney Games logo in colour surrounded by images depicting all twenty eight sports of the Games. The obverse depicts QE11, the country of issue ‘Australia’, the year 2000 and the monetary denomination.

The top half of the coins is edge-lettered with the words ‘Games of the XXV11 Olympiad’ and the lower half carries the edge-lettering ‘1 Kilo 999 Silver’
