Commemorates Australia’s 25th Anniversary of decimal currency by featuring a special 50c coin, but also symbolises the end of the era by including final issue 1c and 2c which will no longer be minted after this final minting 1991 dated coins.
The proof quality coins in this set reflect this dedication. Each coin is struck from hand-polished dies, using specially prepared blanks. The finished product is a coin with a mirror-like flat surface complemented by a delicately frosted raised design. Once minting is complete, all dies are destroyed.
